NEW YEARS MESSAGE FROM CEO

NEW YEARS MESSAGE FROM CEO

Well we have made it to the end of an extremely busy year, well done everyone who has contributed to the effectiveness of the charity during 2017.

We were lucky with the number of donations we attracted, testament to the value of our core work.

We are deeply grateful to major supporters from Efficiency North, Soldiers Fund, The Co-op, Veterans Foundation as well as a number of smaller but significant supporters.

We have refurbished the original office in Barnsley which can now provide learning and employment help through the newly developed IT suite.
We have a brand new office through the generosity of Mick Lee owner of Constant Security, a long-time supporter of veterans.
We have purchased  a Vauxhall Movano 1 careful owner West Yorkshire Police fully serviced and with 12 months warranty  to replace Tom Wood’s own elderly vehicle which has served the charity well.

The current bank balances are healthy but we cannot rest on our laurels everything we do has a cost, most of which we as individuals has absorbed, that is not the way the charity should work in the future, it needs to pay its own way.

Finally and most importantly the work carried out by us has enabled around 50 veterans this year to move their lives forward again.  We have provided homes, cash for private rentals, food, money to support people finding work and employment for some of our customers.

We are doing what it says on the tin  providing HELP 4 HOMELESS VETERANS and you all should be justifiably proud of your part in ensuring the charity continues to develop and meets its charitable objectives.

Take the rest of the year off.  Back to work on Monday!

Regards
